What can microdermabrasion do for me?
Microdermabrasion is a gentle skin polishing technique used to give skin a beautiful, healthy, radiant glow. It is a quick, safe and effective way to remove various forms of skin imperfections with no downtime. Microdermabrasion can improve the appearance of dull devitalized skin, blemishes, clogged pores, uneven texture, fine lines and sun damaged skin.
What is microdermabrasion?
The aesthetician performs this procedure using a handheld device that blasts fine particles of sand-like crystals onto the skin. The crystals are then vacuumed away along with dirt and most importantly the top layer of dead skin. By repeating the microdermabrasion process over the course of several weeks to months, younger softer skin is restored. To achieve optimal benefits Dr. Wooming may recommend microdermabrasion along with physician prescribed skin care products or other cosmetic procedures. Microdermabrasion can also be used in combination with IPL Fotofacial for skin rejuvenation.

Are there any side effects from Microdermabrasion Treatments?
There is minimal discomfort with this procedure. You will experience a slight tingling and a feeling of tighter skin after a treatment. Following a treatment your skin may appear slightly flushed for a day or two. You can return to normal activities, but exercise should be avoided immediately after treatment.
